Building Transmission Remote GUI (transgui) for Fedora

Transmission Remote GUI (transgui) has been my longstanding favorite BitTorrent client. It is a front-end client for transmission-daemon BitTorrent servers. It is similar in appearance to the transmission-daemon’s web interface, but includes significant additional functionality. I’ve been using it for years. Unfortunately there is no RPM package for it in the Fedora repositories. It’s been orphaned since about Fedora 29.

I have been building my own packages for it, but lately an annoying bug appeared. When I open transgui it does not restore its windows to the size/location they previously had. But now I’ve found a new fork of the transgui project that fixes this. It also includes some new features and, best of all, it’s an active project.

I’ve built a new RPM in Copr that will install this version of transgui on the current releases of Fedora.
